Should I Buy Now?

Hey everyone, im in the market to buy a new laptop what with leopard out and all but was wondering if now is a good time. I think i remember hearing something about not making major purchases during Merc Retro. Can anyone shed some light?

    Merc retro is just about over. This weekend is probably safe for making a big purchase.

    But then on nov 15th, mars goes retro.
