can someone give me a astrological perspective on 2012 ? I know that sun and earth are supposed to line up with the centre of the galaxy (as well as the end of the Mayan calander and Terance Mckennas end of time), does anyone have knowledge (not so much speculation - though of course we can do that to some extent) on what this could mean ?

Ive looked up the chart for 21st Dec, 2012, i think Mckenna said around 11am, doesnt look too exceptional too me ?

Not exceptional?! That's somebody's baby you're talking about!!

Just kidding. I don't really have any opinions about it. We shall see, we shall see...

    Hello Elo,

See Alignment 2012 for more on the Galactic Alignment of 2012.
The big line-up that begins in 2012, is the Uranus-Pluto square
that will have an influence until 2015 or so. These planets are
in exact square 7 times during this period of radical, transformation.
This 128 planetary cycle began with the 3 conjunctions of 1965-66,
that marked the cultural, and technological revolution of the 60's.

    Enjoy,
    David

and do you see any astrological openings post 2015 ?

        Elo,

Squares between Uranus and Pluto occur twice in 128 years. As you may or may not know, Pluto enters Capricorn on Jan 25, 2008, until 2024. Many astrologers are projecting that this will intensify Big Brothers efforts to control society even more. But as Pluto tends to
reveal the dark side of whatever sign it's transiting, it will probably instigate a cathartic process of transforming a broke system from the ground up. The transit of Pluto through Sagittarius since 1995 has revealed the dark side of religious & ideological fundamentalism.

Radical Uranus enters independent Aries for the first time in late May of 2010- joined by Jupiter in June 2010. These planets meshing can bring progressive innovations, and technological breakthroughs of various kinds. The most dramatic example of the conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus was the one that occurred exactly with the Moon landing of July 20, 1969. In that case, these planets came together at 0 Libra- the cardinal world axis. Maybe there will a discovery of an alternative energy source, or something like that, around the 2010 Jupiter-Uranus conjunction.

Anyway- Uranus in Aries will stir the independent spirit that will challenge the governments attempts to further consolidate it's control and censorship. This is one possible manifestation of the upcoming Uranus-Pluto squares of 2012-15.

The Great Mutation conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in 2020, represents a potential paradigm shift from a materialistic mindset, to a more altruistic understanding of our common humanity. That transition is called a Great Mutation because the grand conjunctions of JU and SA will then fall in the air signs, rather then the earth signs. The 20 year synodic cycle of JU and SA has been studied by astrologers for thousands of years. The grand conjunction of May 28, 2000, features Jupiter and Saturn(in Taurus) on the Midheaven in Washington, DC. This suggests the US will play a leading role in the unfoldment of the 20 year period- for better of worse. The current transit of Neptune to this chart, may reflect the current meltdown of the economy, as Neptune tends to undermine unstable structures, and can bring chaos and uncertainty. The problems in the housing market and subsequent disillusionment(NE), may be one obvious manifestation of this influence.

I'm curious about the planetary alignment. I've heard that the Sun and Earth lineup, which would mean they conjunct at 26 degrees of Sagitarrius. I don't know how to find the celestial longitude of the Earth in my ephemeris. I'm wondering if anyone has some insight into this lineup, it's frequency, it's uniqueness or lack thereof. Appreciate whatever can be shared. Thank-you.

                ASTRONOMIC ZODIAC
an overview for the year 2008

Copyright © 2008 by Klaudio Zic, all rights reserved. www.lulu.com/astrology

                ASTRONOMIC ZODIAC

The astronomic zodiac1 as presently defined is based on the IAU2 resolution dated August 2006. The present zodiac hosts 22 IAU constellations in all.
Since Pluto is no longer a planet3, we lose several interesting zodiacal constellations4 like Serpens Cauda5, which may nevertheless be included in astrological work, much as Pluto is secretly treated as planet in many astronomic program updates.
What is the Academic Zodiac? It is a set of zodiacal constellations that are very illustrative as well as scientifically observable in the real sky.
As an example of the position of the Sun it is notable that the Sun is in Libra on November 23rd.
The implications deriving from the study of the real sky are that the errors as made by popular astrology are not “one sign”, as someone thinks, but two constellations.
The Sun can be tracked through 15 constellations, where two are special and one is standard. Every planet goes through Cetus, Orion and Ophiuchus, but the Sun goes near to Orion and very near to Cetus as IAU defines it.

                PRECESSED ASCENDANT

The ascendant is a separate topic, as subject to precession, to which the zodiac is not. In our works we normally refer to the local zodiac for planet earth and its present set of eastern ascendants.
More or less the same error appears in comparing the real sky with superstitious program output. On checking an alleged “Capricorn” ascendant, we discover that Pisces were rising at east in the natal horoscope.
The 16 eastern ascendants for the current epoch are constellations observable at east in all parts of the planet. Thus the precessed ascendant set is the real situation in the natal sky.
Sometimes a zodiacal position coincides with the ascendant, thus we have e.g. Venus rising in Hydra or Moonrise in Cetus.
Some positions have national value such as Moon in Orion for the WTC, Serpens rising for the U.S.A. Or Canis Minor rising in the case of president George Bush.
The ascendants can be advantageously classified as subconscious and subconscious, thus Orion is a subconscious ascendant and lord of the underworld.

                THE HOROSCOPE

The modern horoscope swarms with new elements that were unknown prior to year 1992, thus we have the centaurs, dwarf planets, outer guardians, Apoheles, Earth coorbitals, WMAP cold spot, WR 104, KELU-1, Eris and giant comets.
Modern astrology is an exhausting yet fascinating subject as it emerged from the stalled miasma of European superstition.
The so much cherished heroes of our short6 past were in fact superstitious fellows unprepared for any zodiacal challenge. Luckily we discovered the precision of the ancients in order to support our own long range observation.

1In the present article we are dealing with the
2We proposed an early zodiac to the IAU and will re-propose the current, since the IAU has astrology on the topics list. This large bureaucratic body has probably seldom discussed astrology. The most important scientists of the time strangely have no IAU membership, as probably happily lost in their own research.
3Pluto and Eris being officially defined as dwarf planets. We keep to the official IAU frame for our research with due stretching and refining of merely formal criteria to our humanistic purposes.
4These constellations pertain to the P zodiac, much as Eris constellations pertain to the X zodiac.
5Serpens Cauda is the ascendant of the U.S.A., but since the ascendant has nothing to do with being zodiacal, we e Serpens Cauda on purpose of reflection and consideration.
62000 or 5000 years is taken as short past, in fact too short to even handle precession.

The dates that are catching my eye are 22 july and the 7 of August 2010:

A Cardinal T-Cross will form as Saturn enters it's exaltation sign Libra opposite Uranus conjunct Jupiter in Aries, which will unleash an unimaginable amount of energy through the lense of Pluto. I have tried to find a similar line up, but my program doesn't go further back than 1776... Pluto in Capricorn will not take half measures and will certainly manifest on paradoxical terms...

Two weeks later, Saturn will be joined by mars and venus creating a Cardinal Cross as the Moon will enter it's own sign Cancer, causing a major shift in the collective unconscious. Note it's trine with Neptune...and the new Moon in Aries forming a trine with the Galactic centre and a sextile with Neptune a few days earlier...Neptune will enter Pisces in january 2012.

Uranus conjunct Jupiter in Aries could initiate a revolution in the way mankind relates to the Universe and the socio-political laws (Saturn) that govern human relations (Libra). These transformations (Uranus and Pluto) in human consciousness will play out through major shifts in the balance of power...the status quo (Capricorn) might not hold or be thoroughly transformed by the exposure negative elements Pluto) within socio-economical order. (Capricorn-Libra).

All this looks very dramatic...But when I look at the actual Chart it exites me, rather than that it scares me... Change is long overdue.

Uranus is in Cetus in the age of Cetus, but 2011 might not be accurate. After the subprime has swept the planet, we think it's 2010. There is an alignment along the Axis of Evil that springs KELU-1 towards the Red Ring of Life in Centaurus. Moreover, we are discovering giant comets 5x Jupiter and the universe is tearing apart at the supervoids, a year of two makes no great difference. Then there is the killer galaxy at the Stargate. Did we mention Apophis? And the planet still does not have a zodiac or basic culture. Perhaps in 700 years the 144000 Hebrew survivors will dabble in astrology, as soon as the Age of Cetus III ends in 2010?

You mean Oct 28th 2011, the Mayan date?

The Axis of Evil leaning from Bootes supervoid and killer galaxy at the Stargate of Hell.
Pluto is there with WR104 the killer galaxy, also red ring of life with Chariklo in Hydra tail.

The new publication series about the American Civil War cashes on the
hard aspect of Pluto in Serpens attacking the national ascendant in

real estate crash and white riot. The KKK is in, the Fed is out in a

the Academic Zodiac. The ascendant of the U.S.A. has been assumed Sibley
